Evidence Supporting Non-Surgical Penis Enlargement

Evidence Supporting Non Surgical Penis Enlargement?

From miracle solutions that require no more effort than popping a pill or massaging your favourite friend with lotion, to the slightly more arduous options of penile exercise and/or strapping your dick into a traction device - there’s certainly no shortage of ‘guaranteed’ ways to a bigger penis. But the big question is of course, do any of them really have a fighting chance of making you a ‘bigger’ man or are they all just modern day snake oil remedies cashing in on an old male anxiety?

If you read through any one of the zillion penis enlargement sites out there, they’ll all happily (and in many cases quite convincingly) state that their recommended product is the best thing since sliced bread...guaranteed to enlarge your puny man servant into Hercules in just a few effortless weeks. And a lot of them even have blokes wearing white coats, stethoscopes and Einstein inspired hair adorning their pages with supposed medical testimonials.

But can you really just put your faith in the promises of some nameless site with some dodgy testimonials from an Eastern European doctor with an unpronounceable name and who’s having a very bad hair day? Well...you could do, but in all likelihood you'd probably end up feeling pretty cheated.

The simple truth is when it comes to an issue as sensitive as penis size and how to genuinely enlarge the little fella you need something a little more substantial than blind faith. Is it really too much to ask for some objective and impartial medical research to back up these claims or at the very least, genuine positive evidence from those who’ve used a particular method? Like me, I’m sure this is the least you expect.

Fortunately, strip away all the marketing hype and false promises and you'll find that a couple of natural, non-surgical methods do indeed have a degree of medical support to back up their claims. The bad news however, is that none of the ‘grow your nob effortlessly in a few weeks’ products such as pills, patches, creams and hypnosis (yes, you read right…hypnosis) make it on to this list. As you’ll see below, you can enlarge your penis without a costly and potentially hazardous visit to your friendly neighbourhood plastic surgeon, but it will take both some time and dare I say it…effort.

When it comes to non-surgical penile enlargement, you basically have one of two options: penile exercise or the use of a penis traction device (which you’ll often find referred to as an extender or stretching device). Read on to find out about the hard evidence supporting both these techniques…

Penile Exercise

The theory...

Contrary to what the name suggests, you can breathe a sigh of relief - you won't be required to start on an intensive regime of 'cock push ups' if you go down the penile exercise route. Instead you’ll subject your penis to a long list of hand techniques intended to stress every last penile sinew. Some of these techniques are designed to increase the blood capacity of the penis so that it can balloon in size like an over inflated tyre when erect, whilst others are designed to stretch the ligaments that attach the old boy to the pubic bone - enabling your penis to expand lengthways like a baby sapling trying to push its way through forest undergrowth to reach the sun.

Medical Evidence...

Now if you’re looking for solid medical evidence about the effectiveness of penile exercise, it is unfortunately a little thin on the ground. A certain Dr. Brian Richards did conduct independent studies in the 1970’s with some positive results, but due to the general medical opinion of the time that penis enlargement was impossible, his study was largely ignored and dismissed. It’s a shame though because Dr. Richards (who was by the way a well respected medical researcher and author) recorded some interesting statistics. He reported that over 85 percent of his volunteers experienced penile growth over his three month trial, ranging from 0.9 – 1.4 inches in erect penis length and 0.6 – 1.2 inches in girth.

So why hasn’t there been further clinical investigation into penile exercise if these results were so promising? Well, there are probably a couple of reasons. Firstly, with something as personal and potentially embarrassing as penis size, you’d be hard pressed to find an adequate group of men who’d be prepared to contort their penises on a daily basis in front of independent medical witnesses – which of course would be a necessity in order to ensure exercise techniques were being performed correctly. Secondly, medical trials tend to focus on the medicinal benefits of tangible products (such as specific drugs or devices) as opposed to more abstract benefits of exercise. As a result, we’re left with skimpy medical backing on what should really deserve more review.

But despite this lack of clinical evidence it's impossible to dismiss penile exercise as a quack remedy for a couple of reasons.

Further evidence...

Firstly, it makes physiological sense for it to work. It’s a basic physiological fact that human tissue adapts when exposed to consistent physical stress. We’re not just talking about lifting weights to make your muscles bigger here (although the same principle applies) – we’re talking about ANY type of human tissue from skin to bone. As an extreme example, how else could traction be used to gradually stretch stunted limbs? If the bone, muscles, ligaments, tendons and blood vessels of a leg can be forced to stretch with the correct physical stress, then it’s hardly implausible that the penis should be immune from such adaptation. The trick is simply to find the correct physical stimulus to initiate tissue growth.

Secondly, the Net is littered with forums containing progress reports and success stories from men with no vested interest in exaggerating or lying about their results. Whilst it true, you’ll also see posts from people who can’t get their little fellas to budge an inch in the right direction, the sheer number of positive experiences shows there’s obviously no mass conspiracy going on. Those who post good results do so in the main only to provide encouragement to others, not for commercial gain. On the flip side of the coin, should those who report no gains be taken as proof that penile exercises don’t work? Well, if they are proof of the ineffectiveness of this form of exercise, by the same rationale those who make no progress lifting weights should be seen as proof that muscle mass can’t be increased…which of course, everyone would accept as nonsense. The fact is penile exercise like weight training will work for everyone given enough commitment, patience and focus.

So what about the gains you’ll achieve and how long do they take to materialise? You’ll no doubt have read majorly exaggerated claims on various penis enlargement ‘review’ sites about the light speed improvements you’ll see in the size of your dick with exercise – but as you’ll know, claims and fact are often total strangers. The truth of the matter is that ‘average’ genuine gains tend to be very similar to those reported in Dr Richards’ penile exercise study i.e. individuals tend to experience an erect penile length increase of 1 – 1 ½ inches and a slightly less pronounced (but still impressive) girth increase of just under an inch. And as far as time frame is concerned, you’re looking at a minimum of 3 – 6 months to achieve these types of permanent size gains.

Of course, although ‘average’ is a good benchmark of likely progress, it’s important to remember that it doesn’t necessarily reflect the progress you’ll make as an individual. You will find genuine accounts of men making light speed gains of a couple of inches in less than a couple of months, but likewise there are those who struggle to get that magic extra inch within a year. That’s the problem with any type of exercise though – it doesn’t work its magic at a uniform rate for all individuals. But the important fact to remember is simply that penile exercise unquestionably does work given enough time, commitment and focus.

Penile Traction

The clear downsides to penile exercise are that the evidence supporting its effectiveness is more or less anecdotal and it’s also a pretty ‘active’ form of penis enlargement - those who reap the rewards are the one’s who have the motivation and focus to stick to with it through thick and thin. Expect to have to put aside at least 20 minutes of your time, 4 – 5 times a week to make steady progress.

But all is not lost…if you’re looking for a more ‘user friendly’ non-surgical method of enlarging your old man, which also boasts massive amounts of medical evidence supporting its claims to boot, then it’s worth checking out a penis traction device.

The theory...

These things simply exert a constant stretching force along the length of the penile shaft (albeit in a very controlled and precise way) that gradually frees your penis from the length restricting effects of the penile ligaments. Sound familiar? That’s right…it’s the same process used to make gains with penile exercise – the only difference is that you’re providing the physical stimulus for growth through extended periods of controlled stretching.

Medical evidence...

Now you might laugh at the idea of being able to stretch your dick like a rubber band, but take a look at some of the evidence – all of which has been reported in professional peer-reviewed medical journals (which are not the sort of place to make false claims unless you want to be struck off the medical register).

A study published in the medical journal BJU International for example, which reported the results of research conducted at San Giovanni Battista Hospital, Italy in 2008 recorded average penile length increase of 32% in 15 men who’d agreed to opt for the use of penile traction instead of surgery. This average 32% increase was achieved through just 4 hours use per day over the course of six months. With such impressive improvements the study’s authors stated that they considered the changes to be 'significant' and concluded that a medical penis stretching device was a 'minimally invasive and effective treatment option'.

Likewise, a Danish urologist reported that 18 of his patients suffering from penis size anxiety had achieved an average length increase of 29% with 6 months of daily traction use. In real terms, the doctor recorded an average growth rate of 1.9mm per week, resulting in a whopping 1.8 inch average length improvement over the course of treatment. One lucky chap even managed to achieve an increase of 40 percent, which I’m guessing came as a bit of a surprise to his missus.

With high quality medical devices now retailing for under $200, this is not only a less 'hands on' approach to non-surgical penis enlargement, but is also remarkably affordable considering the supporting medical evidence.

In Conclusion…

The one thing I hope you take away from this article is that non-surgical penis enlargement isn’t all hype – although it’s not as easy as many would lead you to believe. But for those with the patience and focus to carry them through, both penile exercise and penile traction can offer substantial rewards (and have the evidence to back up this claim).

So which should you opt for? Well…exercise is obviously a very cheap route to a bigger penis – all you need is access to some good information that shows you how to do things correctly – and even the best commercial guides with streaming HD video exercise demonstrations and powerful workout routines will only cost you a few tens of dollars. The drawback to exercise of course is that there’s a bit to learn and a lot to do – you must be prepared to keep it up even through the most frustratingly slow periods of growth.

With a well built traction device on the other hand, the only motivation you’ll need is to strap it on and let it do its thing. Thanks to the reliability and precision of modern designs, a good medical grade traction device can then be left securely, safely and comfortably in place with no further intervention for several hours at a go – letting you to get on with the rest of your life in peace. In the end, the gains you’ll achieve from traction will be just the same as you’d achieve from exercise, but without the added hassle. Whether that is worth the extra investment is something only you can decide. But even at a few hundred dollars, it has to be said that a clinically proven non-surgical way to a bigger penis is an investment that’ll quickly pay for itself in the sense of the life long rewards you’ll reap.
